A new standard of finish: Scotch Brite steel
The most visible change in the new line is the use of Scotch Brite (Scotch-Dry) steel. What does this mean in practice?
SB steel is unique in that micro-scratches are created during the sheet metal stamping stage. This gives the surface an elegant look and effectively masks signs of wear, which translates into easier maintenance of hygiene and aesthetics in the kitchen, says Wiktor Tusiński, Commercial Director at Kromet.
The slightly matt surface of Scotch Brite gives the appliances a slightly darker, more professional look, effectively masking fingerprints, smudges and scratches. As a result, the equipment retains its aesthetic appearance for a long time and fits in perfectly with display spaces such as ramen bars, food halls and fine dining restaurants with open kitchens, where the professional appearance of the backroom influences the customer experience.
Modularity and hygiene – a perfect combination
In modern catering, the kitchen must run like a well-oiled machine – without unnecessary downtime, chaos or complications. That is why the 700 SB line from Kromet has been designed so that each element fits perfectly with the next, creating a coherent, functional whole. Thanks to its modular design and ‘hair’s breadth’ connections, the technological lines can be configured like a set of building blocks – with surgical precision and complete freedom.
But it’s more than just convenience. It’s a real simplification of everyday work and a guarantee of meeting the highest sanitary standards. In traditional solutions, micro-gaps often appear between appliances – places that neither a cloth nor steam from a cleaner can reach, but where food residues, grease and dust readily accumulate. This is a sure-fire recipe for unpleasant odours, an unsightly appearance and, in the worst-case scenario, problems during inspections.
With the 700 SB line, this risk disappears. Smooth connections, no gaps, perfect fit – all to make the kitchen not only practical, but also easy to keep clean and compliant with strict HACCP requirements. This is particularly important in establishments that not only serve food but also open their back rooms to guests – ramen bars, restaurants with open kitchens, slow food and premium bistro concepts, where every detail matters.
Because cleanliness is not just a duty – today, it is part of your image.
Modern control – digital controllers
Another new feature is digital controllers, available in selected models from the 700 SB line. They give the user precise temperature control – down to a single degree.
These solutions allow us to set the temperature with great accuracy, which is particularly important in kitchens where repeatability and quality are key. It is worth emphasising that this is only an option. We are not abandoning our proven mechanical solutions, adds Wiktor Tusiński.
At Kromet, we understand that some users prefer the simplicity and reliability of traditional solutions – that is why the new line does not replace the current 700 series, but is an extension of it and an alternative for more demanding investments.
Design that stands out
Red details, polished surface, uniform shape – the new 700 SB line is not only about technology, but also eye-catching design. The appliances are perfect for open catering spaces, where the kitchen is part of the customer experience.
This line is more professional than premium. It was designed for modern establishments that want to showcase quality through the appearance of their kitchen, adds Kromet’s Sales Director.
